Texturing

North East Walls

It's hard to tell the texture from the pictures but it looks very nice.

The texturing was still a little wet when we took the picture.

During the process of remodeling a cat was discovered in mom's house. The thing thought he had the whole house to himself (which he did until we arrived). We attempted to persuade the cat that he would rather be outside in the cold snow then inside where he was kept warm. The thing(notice I didn't say "poor thing") became enraged and started flinging its self against walls and windows. Eventually it found itself out the door to the garage which didn't solve the problem. He climbed back up the rafters and back into the roof to wait until we left again so he could return to the comforts of home through the hole he had entered before. (Incidently the hole had tough plastic inside with duct tape around the edge--It was fairly sturdy) We got smart and closed the door to the room where he could enter again so he wouldn't roam the rest of the house. He's not a very tidy cat. A day later we checked to see if the cat had returned. He has a 9 foot drop he has to overcome to re-enter the house. Slowly we opened the door into the room. As soon as he saw the door opening, he started flinging himself against walls, windows and the door. Need less to say we quickly shut the door with our hearts pounding. It was time to call in the calvary. We issued a call to an Animal Control Officer. He would meet us the next day at the house with his equipment.

The next day, with equipment in hand and our hearts pounding, we slowly opened the door with the Animal Control Officer. NOTHING! The thing had to scale the wall and get back up into the ceiling to leave the room. Now he's either back in the garage or along the rafters waiting for the chance to re-enter. We have set up a trap with tuna fish to see how hungry he is. That's the only advice the officer had.

Here is the sign we posted to warn any workers of the danger that exists within the room. Now that I think of it, I should have written it in spanish. I think most of the workers only speak spanish.

Stay tuned as the story unfolds.

Let's go fly a kite!

Here she is worrying about the remodeling project
while she is in Puerto Rico!
She's watching the kids fly kites in the wind.
It all started out with a small drop of paint.
You can see the paint on the carpet in the door opening.
Yes! The whole black thing!
